At the end of a good work week, What is the best a good show? This week, La Ronde Cultural Centre, I was blessed with the sight of Supervisors, un Groupe Franco-manitobain.

Supervisors offer soft music, simple and complex at the same time and above all punctuated with humor. Their music is simple, since only four instruments (two acoustic guitars, a banjo and a bass). It is complicated by the fact that this simple instrument added four voices singing in harmony, which defined the characteristic of this group. Their voices fit together very well and they know how to add harmonies to bed to give us a wide variety of sounds. In fact, we witness the ingenuity from the start of the show as they interpret the THX sound you hear at the beginning of several films.

In addition to music, Supervisors are as telling stories. The presentations of the songs take us in the experience of each group member. Even if the song and the presentation explaining that the road to Thompson is long and flat, it really made me feel like doing this trip next summer when I travel in Western Canada. It will be surreal to listen “Thompson” by visiting Thompson.

Supervisors, a show not to be missed if the group is in your corner. Will discover their site Internet and I strongly suggest you get their album.
